From the global pandemic to worsening climate crises to the technology we use every day, science plays as essential role in our lives. The Association of Science Communicators (ASC, formerly Science Talk) is a professional organization creating connections to meet the needs of the multifaceted science communication community. Together, we can better address the challenges facing our society.
Mission
OUR MISSION is to be the hub of the professional science communication community.
Vision
OUR VISION is for ASC to advance the value of science as a source of societal benefit and a basic human right.
We strengthen professionalism in science communications by…
- Promoting a strong community of practice for science communicators
- Supporting science communicators as they work to reach audiences across multiple platforms and media
- Expanding professional development and certification programs for science communication practitioners and facilitators
- Building the professionalization of science communicators as a field
- Creating connections between scientists and communications professionals

We also support content creators and social media influencers – science writers, producers, podcasters, bloggers, artists and performers of all kinds sharing science and scicomm on digital media platforms, in galleries and exhibits, on stages or in marketplaces, both real and virtual.
